Alberta Supports Contact Centre
Alberta Supports can help you access more than 30 programs and 120 services for seniors, people with disabilities, job seekers, parents and families, homelessness, financial assistance, abuse, and family violence prevention. All Alberta Support Centre services are available online and by phone. For in-person services, call or visit your local Alberta Supports Office.
Common Terminology
Understanding seniors’ housing terminology can be confusing at times. ASCHA’s work in this area led to the creation of a Common Terminology Report that can be found on their website; it contains three proposed main categories to try and group together seniors housing types for Albertans.
CORE Alberta (Collaborative Online Resources and Education)
CORE is an initiative put together by the Government of Alberta, Alberta Health Services, Alberta Blue Cross, and the Government of Canada. It is a knowledge hub for Community-Based Seniors Serving (CBSS) organizations and allied agencies and individuals in Alberta. It features information and resources on a variety of aging subject areas.

Government of Alberta – Accommodations Standards Licensing and Public Reporting
Alberta Health monitors all supportive living and long-term care accommodations for compliance to the Accommodation Standards, minimally on an annual basis. The purpose of the Accommodation Standards is to ensure accommodations maintain a high quality of accommodation services (e.g., meals, building maintenance, security, and housekeeping) that promote the safety, security, and quality of life of Albertans living in those accommodations.

Alberta Council on Aging
This is the official site for the Alberta Council on Aging. Their mission is to improve the quality of life for seniors and encourage their participation in all aspects of community by educating seniors and the public and by advising government.
Caregivers Alberta – Support For Caregivers
An Alberta organization dedicated to caregivers. Provides information, education, resources, as well as mental health support for caregivers.
Alberta Continuing Care Association (ACCA)
An Alberta non-profit organization that represents continuing care providers.
Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) – Alberta Division
The Canadian Mental Health Association, Alberta Division supports provincial-wide community mental health projects, mental health advocacy, government relations and workplace mental health training.

Golden Circle – Senior Resource Centre
A non-profit organization that provides services such as information, resources, programming, community supports via an Outreach Team, and more. Serves older Albertans, as well as their families/caregivers, in Red Deer and area.
