You must be a Canadian Citizen or a Permanent Resident and have lived in Calgary for at least one year OR in Canada for at least 10 years. You must be at least 65 years of age. If you have a spouse/partner, he/she is at least 60 years of age. You must have an income below the Government of Alberta’s Core Needs Income Threshold (CNIT). This threshold is set annually by the government, depending on the town or city in which you live.
