Acceptance Criteria

Eligibility Criteria: To qualify for publicly funded care, you must have residency status in the Province of Alberta which requires: 10 consecutive years of residency in Canada at the time of application for care centre admission; or 3 consecutive years residency in Alberta any time during your lifetime; 3 consecutive months residing in the Calgary Health Region prior to application. If you do not meet the above requirements and still wish to be admitted, AgeCare Orchard Manor offers a private pay option.
 
Application Procedure: To begin the admission process, you will need to request an assessment through your local Home Care Program. A Home Care health-care professional will meet with you to discuss your needs and conduct an in-home assessment that may include input from your family doctor, your family, and other health-care professionals. Together, you and your home care team will create a plan of care with the right mix of services to support your abilities and your lifestyle.
