South Country Village is a Voluntary non-profit Alberta Society established in 1947 as a service organization.  The driving force of the founding fathers of the Home was the desire to provide for the needs of aged people.  South Country Village is a multi-level care facility ranging from independent to long term care services.  The Haven Care Centre provides 20 Private Supportive Living units and 23 Private Independent Living units.

Acceptance Criteria

Eligibility Criteria: Suggested to be 65 years or older. Must have Canadian citizenship status. Must be functionally independent. For example: able to manage personal care and hygiene, able to manage daily activities, must be suitable for lodge living environment, must be medically stable, able bodied and cognitively aware, must be able to meet and agree to the tenancy terms of agreement, must benefit from supportive housing environment.
 
Application Procedure: Set appointment for tour with the Resident Care Coordinator. Must meet the criteria as listed above. Applicant will be placed on a waiting list. Applicant will be notified when a suitable suite is available.
